To cut a long story short, my Snap-on KRA2007/2055 combo got damaged in transit, and I need to find suitable replacements (as the movers insurance company has finally paid out).

I`m tossing up between:
KRA2007/2055 combo (approx $2700NZD)
Facom JET.7GXL and JETC.4GXL (approx $2900NZD)

and out of left field:

Toptul TCAC702 and TBAD0301 and TBAI0701 (approx $1800NZD),

Unknown 42" combo from a local tool-truck franchise (anyone know what brand this is?) Approx $2300NZD

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I`m just mindful that a cheaper box leaves more money for tools to put in it (not that I`m short of tools...)

I've always liked the look of the Facom stuff. do you have access to Beta tools? seen them online and they look to be as tough as nails. Also, have you considered Lista?

I have the Facom bottom box and whilst it is really well made, there is not a lot of space in it. You can see how the sides of the box are inset where teh drawer sliders are, so when you take off width for the sliders, the drawers themselves are not very wide. On the other hand it is pretty bullet proof, with nearly no side to side motion when the drawers are extended if you push them (much less than on a Snap On box). Agree with Canuckian that a Lista is a better box but not sure what they cost down in NZ.
