Hello im looking for help wiring a 4 post lift motor the motor has 4 wires t1.t4,t5,t8 on the housing unit it shows t1,t5 together and the t4,t8 together for motor to run in the direction i need problem i have is with the push button switch has 3 wiring spots "NO" "NC" "COMMON" or "COM"
i thought switch was bad so bought the same one i have off ebay shown in link
i have 1 side on of power on the common t1,t5 for the the no or middle but cant put the other hot wire to make 220 because on the nc it has power for some reason when i put the power on the common so not sure what to do for the 220 might just have to use 2 pole switch if i cant figure this out i seen the lift working before i bought it and if i hook power up direct the pump works:shocking:

also with just 1 hot hooked up to the common t8 has power which is also tied together with t4

You can't switch two lives with a single pole switch. Think of your switch as a 'Y' with common at the bottom, nc on the left and no on the right, power comes in the bottom and goes the the normally closed contact on the left. Push the button and power is switched instead to the right normally open contact.

You either need a two pole switch, ( two separate Y's operated by the same button) or depending on motor design and your local wiring regulations, you wire one set of motor wires to unswitched live/neutral and other set of motor wires through the switch.

Or get a sparkie to wire it for you, dangerous stuff if it is not something you are competent to do.

The push button connect/disconnects just one leg. L1 -------- (Com(push button) N.O.) ------ to motor T1/T5. The N.C. on the switch is not used.
