I was wondering if a small lawn tractor that would accept a trailer hitch would do the job,
I had an ol' Craftsman LT1000. I'd picked up a 35 gallon boom spray trailer to pull behind it. I had a ball on the back for the trailer, as well as fabed a winch/hitch lift to operate a box scraper. It worked fine. I'd been toying with installing a ball on the front as well.

So, I'd agree, if you have the room to store the LT then sure, it would work. How about storing the LT in the back of the trailer after it's placed in it's parking space? Just fab a wood housing with a tarp...

After watching the trailer valet videos I can see that whatever you come up with can be pretty small unlike the 6 ft. T-handle job we used to use at U-Haul.

3 pages and what, no pictures?

I just use my ZTR, with a small hitch on it. I can back a trailer into the tightest spots I have found around my property. Its a 77"x12' single axle utility. It also doubles as a great grass cutter.

Small lawn mower works well for this a zero turn unit, works great.

Maybe if your yard is big enough and the trailer is light enough, consider a riding mower. I've moved my 5x8 around with mine at the old house

I tried to use my JD riding mower (LT series) to move my empty car hauler. No go. Tires spin and the trailer don't move. Maybe if the trailer was lighter/smaller???

A couple of years ago I made a similar sort of thing out of an old Powered wheelchair. unfortunately I have no pictures. But they can be picked up pretty cheap and are dual motor with a joystick control which makes for easy steering. I strenthened the frame and fabricated and fitted a hitch where the seat area is. it worked excellent and pushed /pulled a twin axle caravan with no problem

I looked at a few of them 1st hand and I was impressed with the power dolly ideas people had. But I did find another company who makes something like these but I like the overall look better and it's more compact and faster too than the others. TRAX power dolly systems http://traxpowerdolly.com They use a ball mount connection and by the looks of it it's very stable too!
