Help with a lathe drill chuck

I've been searching all over for info on this chuck! I can't find a thing.
Has anyone used one of these? anyone know how it works?
Its a jacobs chuck model 6426

Does it have bronze jaws? Can't read all the stampings on it, but if it does it's for turning armatures. I have one that looks a little different.

yep..did all that before i wrote. a few pix but no operating info. :(

It also looks like a "Universal" keyless chuck. Meaning the set screws fix the chuck to the arbor shaft of which you can change to match the taper or configuration of your DP.

This is just an observation, I've never seen that configuration before an I'm no chuck'n expert.

i have learned a bit more...the top screw fixes the arbor. the bottom one appears to
lock the jaws down! so...you tighten it down by hand THEN crank on the bottom set screw.

I have that chuck on an old drill like new still in original box that is a great chuck you tighten by hand then give a slight turn of the allen wrench to secure.
