I picked up this Baldor buffer recently and need help with its usefulness. I want to clean and shine tools in my shop
The PO caked polishing compound onto one of the wheels so heavy that it is very stiff - don't know how anyone can clean or shine metal that way. Also, both wheels are about 1 1/2" thick and relatively stiff as they're sewn close to the buffing area.
I know that it's best to place the buffer onto a plastic laminate surface and have a wall covering behind of similar material.
The difficulty that I'm having is choosing buffing wheels correctly. This machine uses 8" wheels with a 3/4" arbor.
So what do you use for such a machine?
