I was wondering if I could get assistance for BTU calculation. I have tried to calculate the BTU for our new shop.
I get 160k BTU ish. I was going with an Oil fire boiler (long story but that is what we have decided over natural gas). I know that the natural gas are more efficient, but am sharing the shop with family and one person is to nervous about having gas.
Looking at Viessmann and Bosch/Buderus
Thinking we will keep the shop around 55deg. But maybe higher in some zones
We are in the northeast. MA
6700 sq ft, 2 in XPS foam under 5 in slab and 2in XPSon inside edge of the foundation down 4ft. The R value of the foam is 10, garage doors will be R26
3 manifolds:
two 6 loops and one 3 loops
5/8 in Pex tubing 7500 feet. The loops are all 480-500 ft.
Thanks in advance
