Help with ceiling mount electric cord reel

I did a search and found some info on the archives but not enough detail. I'm going to mount my ceiling mount electric cord reel and all I know is I should use lag screws and find a stud with a stud finder. Anything I'm missing? This garage is only until they finish my home later this year so not looking to do any exotic mounting.

Got mine at lowes and it came with the lag screws. Find a stud a screw it in.

Lagged into one of the rafters or floor joists above should be fine, that's how I do mine.

Span 2 studs with unistrut and attach the reel to the unistrut. A lot of times we run the unistrut long so we can add an air reel or to slide the reel to a better spot if we change things below.
