I have a 24x30 pole barn need some help with condensation on metal roof, you can see in the pics what I'm up against.I will be closing off the roof and use blow in insulation,But should I do anything on the rafters below the metal roof I don't want it to get wet and drip on the Insulation.

Isolate the atic space first with poly below trusses, and install positive ventilation in atic space. Let nature work for you.

Your ceiling is almost identical to the ceiling in my Morton building. What they do (and recommend) is to place a plastic vapor barrier (as Franz) said on the bottom side of the truss. They then install some type of metal ceiling, or drywall, etc. They highly emphasize not to put any holes in the plastic and if you do seal the holes. My Morton building has venting on the eaves which allows air movement to exit at the ridge. Hope this helps. I plan to install 6 mil plastic vapor on the trusses and a white metal ceiling. Blown in insulation will follow. Good luck!

You must do one of two things, #1 like SRS and Franz said, moisture barrier and lots of ventilation, maybe even an attic fan on a humidistat. OR #2 Install some type of styrofoam insulation against the metal roof (not real easy to do after the building is built).
