Help with Date on old Craftsman Box

i have two of those. i think someone said it was from the 40's or 50's . that is a nice old box.

My guess is it could even be from the 30s.

Well the etching in the handles I thought a lil "deco" but still not sure.. Thought 50's at the newest

The Craftsman crest is the key to the mystery. That one was used late 40s to early 50s. I have a large set that I have restored and will be posting on soon. Find the Rose Tools website, they have a couple of Craftsman mechanics tool catalogs from that period (1947 and 1954 I think). Look in there and I will bet you will find your box!
