Moving shop new shop has old glue down lino in from what do one to be early 80's can you gut epoxy over it with out it lifting ? Thanks in advance

Rent an Edco grinder.
Hi
We don't suggest coating a floor that has residual adhesive on it. Best to remove the adhesive with a grinder as noted above, or we carry a special chemical adhesive dissolver that works well. Messier, but it does the job. Also strongly suggest you prime the floor after the removal as priming will even out the porosity and avoid further issues.
