HELP with Handi-Kutter?

not sure where to post this....
I've had this little cutter forever. (photo) I Took the blade out to "reverse" & I'll be danged if I can get it back in "snugly", like it was before! I can get it in, but it's loose when it slides. I don't want to pry it open too much..Must be some trick to it...

Yeah, those are not known for their tightness. I've always been able to flex the blade in from the opening without widening the holder. But it being aluminum is is quite soft. Almost as if they wanted it to be a one blade use then toss.
