So, I've never had a jam like this.

I can't seem to remove it. Is there another option besides sending back to Hitachi?

Either way I have to buy a new nailer to finish a job today. I'd rather not junk this one and just have two after it's repaired.

Thanks in advance!5bdee8f57b09d191df64c68a8e50b024.jpg97f792a7b24e2e0e078c04fb3349db18.jpg

Dig it out, pry it out chizzle it out. Shoot another nail and see what it does.

I have had to use a punch on a bostich gun before to clear a double shot nail.

I'd push the striker back up into the gun first. Use a punch, chisel, or small screw driver. Then pull out the nail described in one of the posts above.

I have the same brad nailer and it's been pretty good so far. I think I've only had one jam, not quite as bad as yours though.

I’d keep prying on it working with a pick and fine needle nose. Maybe a small screwdriver.

Quick update- thanks for the replies. Turns out the trick to removing the jam was patience and getting the striker out of the way first.

I'll be test firing later to see if we're actually good.

yes, as you found, you need to drive the driver back in and then work at getting the nail out.
those new Hitachi guns are garbage compared to the previous style.
Another thing that happens is the plastic magazine cover warps & nails will bind up on each other inside the magazine.
Hitachi went from a great contractor grade tool to a poor homeowners grade tool on that line
