I have a late 1940s leblond regal lathe 13". the nut on the crossfeed broke the other day. does anyone know where I could get a replacement nut? thanks.
FWIW, there's no reason why you can't make your own nut. They're usually pretty simple lathe work. Use a solid carbide boring bar to reduce chatter or make a set of acme taps.
Might check with these guys http://www.millermachineandfabrication.com/ Don't see Leblond listed, but doesn't mean he can't help, won't hurt to ask. Never used him myself, but have heard good things on PM.
