I am new to this site. I live in NJ and am looking to place a lift in my garage to place my snowblower and 48" Exmark ZTR on. I have attached a link of a single post lift which is rated at 2200 Lbs which I have been looking at OR do I try a 4 post lift. Looing also at the Danmark D7 Commander
Ceiling height is 18ft.

What do you think of this lift?

Well a 4 post with the centre sections will give you ALOT of extra storage. You could park 10 snowblowers up there - so if the price was similar.... As well, you'd have a lift for car maintenance, etc.

But the single-post storage lifts have a very small foot print and can be useful in the right situations.

Four Post lift giving you maneuverability in the middle section of the car to do work.

I have had a Dannmar 4 post lift for the past 2 years, it is great! Very easy to assemble if you have a floor jack, it took me about 4 hours with a friend help. I highly recommend it.

If you have the space for a 4 post, they are very versatile. You can also buy flat center inserts to make the whole thing a solid deck, like mentioned above..

I've used mine to quickly and easily clean the deck and sharpen the blades on my mower.

The thing I don't like about the single post lifts is the side toward the post is very hard to work on. I have a Titan motorcycle lift. It has side extensions that make it I think 50" wide. It has a 1500lb capacity. That I think would work better for you. It also wheels that you can lower down and move it around when empty. This is nice too. With that single post you are limited since you have to bolt it down.
Now if you have the room, work on your own cars, and have the money then I would probably get the four post. It is much more versatile.

I think you'll be sastified with the Dannmar lift. I would look around to see if you can find one of these in action.
