i recently bought new overhead doors from menards, 2" thick clopay i believe is the manufacturer. The install of the doors went ok but then i went to install the 3800 and there is zero clearance for the cable tension monitor. my doors have a "easy set torsion spring" i have them running with the tension monitors dangling there propped open and i need to find a solution. any door guy out there help please! also the range of the remotes are so small i have to drive up inches from my door open my window and hold it up in the air! has any one ever put a extension on the antenna?

OK, stepped out in the garage and snapped a picture of my installation, which can't have much more space than yours. You'll see that the sensor just fits between the cable and the motor.

I have 4 of these openers, don't have any issues with the range of the remotes on any of them. My antennae wires hang straight down. Do you have problems with both doors?? You might try doing the "learn remote" routine with your remotes just for kicks to see if that helps.

yup mine is wedged in there at a similar angle to his^ and I have zero issues with range. I actually wish they had a little less and might try tying the antennae up.

I dont have the fancy easy wind torsion system though. Snap a pic of your situation and Im sure someone will post a solution.
