Hello everyone, was wanting to get you help with something. I'm looking at the CREE led light bulbs for my outside garage lights. I'm wanting the more white look so would the 5000k be what I'm looking for over the 2700k led bulbs. Is there a big difference in the two? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Yes there is a big difference.

5000k is verrrrry white. I tried a few different colours in one of my yard lights. I think I ended up with 3800 or 4000.

I have something close to 5000 on my RV's porch light. Very harsh, only really advantage is that it sticks out so we can find ourselves in a crowded park! Were I to want better light, I'd go with 3500 or maybe 4000 but nothing higher.

I concur. 4000k is the limit for me. 3700k is the sweet spot for my eyes.

I agree for me anything over 4000K is really blue looking. 4000k is pretty white to me and I like it for garage, utility, and outdoor applications. Inside in living space I like 3000K soft white.
