Good evening all,

Picture Heavy.

Received a nice little organizer from a buddy of mine the other day who knew I’m always looking for more garage organization. Ended up going through it to clean it up and it’s full of machine tooling. I’m a complete novice when it comes to lathe work, and while I have a mini-lathe, outside of basic turning I’m not completely clued in.

I apologize for the busy background in the photos, took this after I laid everything out. I figure I can use the standard tooling in my mini lathe by changing out the tool post. Probably a way to use the knurling tool as well?

I was hoping some of you experts here could help with identifying the tooling that I’ve numbered, as I am not familiar at all.

Group number four contains what I believe could be centering tools, Item 5 appears to be a handle, Group 6 look to be for drilling holes?

Items 7-11, I am lost one, and 12 appears to be a counter sink tool of sorts?

I was also hoping someone could advise as to why the gold colored 10-24 taps are so different from the others?

I’ve also included a picture of the old school organizer this all came in, should look good with a freshening up. I also included a photo of the mini lathe if someone needs to comment with any concerns on the tooling being used with the lathe. Additionally I threw in a photo of the entire set for anyone who’s curious.

Thanks to anyone who can help with any identification or suggestions, or anyone who stops in!

10 is a spot drill
12 single flute counter sink.

The coated taps are spiral flute. Breaks and evacuate chips better for cnc.

The knurling tool and the left(or right???) hand tool holder go in the manual tool post 2 but you maybe be missing some parts
