My thought is build the garage into the hill behind the fence to the left of the existing driveway possibly take out existing driveway. My thoughts are dig out the hill since that are is essentially useless and won't eat up n
Back yard as bad. I would say it is about a 4' drop from the crest of the hill to existing driveway and road.
Is this a bad idea any advice to thoughts appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the GJ forum.

We could use a bit more information, and some more pics.
- Where's your existing garage?
- How much set-back off the property line are you zoned for?
- How deep is the lot behind the fence?
- What are the soil conditions?

More will chime in......

Ok there is no garage on the property currently the new pics was taken about 4 ' Behind the ivy looking toward the street. The soil is nc clay. I have about 34' to the property line. My biggest question is are there any concerns I need to look out for excavating the hill down about 4 feet behind the wood French thus having the left garage wall and back left corner serving as a retain aging wall. Also if you click on the screen shot pic it makes it larger.

I like the idea and that's where I would put it if you are allowed to.
Digging and putting up a block retaining wall for 4' is easy. Your other option would be to dig out further and install one of those stepped stone restraining walls and leave a space between the wall and the garage then you can do all standard framing construction
