I have always kept the door and opener lubed up to keep them quiet and working smooth. I was using a Liquid Wrench Dry Spray and had no problems. Well, I ran out of that and found something at Home Depot called Blaster Garage Door Lube. It works great for about two days.
My opener has the long screw that runs the length of the track. After a couple of days, it is louder than ever before. I spray it again and have no problems for two days. It drips all over the floor so I know it's getting lubed. I can unhook the opener and the door is quiet. So, it has to be the screw that operates the opener. Any other ideas or products that will last more than a few days??? TIA
