48' wide by 40' deep attached garage. 13'7" ceilings.
18' garage door on the front 7' tall, offset to the right (from the driveway view).
10' door in the center of the back 10' tall
I never really moved in.. my father and I used to have a business restoring old mustangs. we had a 40x60 shop. when mom and him split up, half of that junk was mine...
so when I moved in, I had two pallet racks that I got from work. I threw a majority of the junk on the shelves. which worked great, but the depth (42 or 45") was too deep, stiff wasn't orgnanized, just thrown on. after a year of living there and not being able to find things from the move... I ripped out the shelves and started reconfiguring the shop. this gave me time to collect more pallet rack ends, and beams. I didn't like the wasted floor space where I could put another vehicle.
This view is from the house back corner looking out towards the driveway. The lift would be placed where the Blue cobra is sitting in this pic
So I gutted the garage last winter and took the shelves down.. took all the **** off the back wall and basically made my shop a mess for the last year or so.
I cut the pallet rack uprights down to 24" wide.
I had a couple 48" tall uprights and two pair of 10' long beams that didn't really fit into the grand scheme of things so I made this my temporary chainsaw/ outdoor power equipment area on the front side of the garage (eventually there will be a matching double door on this side (to the left from the driveway view)
