I'm having issues with my oven not working. I built the oven a couple years ago and it worked great until I moved and the oven took a 300 mile ride. Now I can't get the elements to warm up.
I've attached some pictures including the wire schematic. I've replaced the solid state relay (upgraded model) but the old one bench tested fine. I replaced the element indicator lamp as the old one wasn't lighting up but the new one doesn't light either.
The trouble shooting I've done:
The elements both ohm out to 22.3 ohms and are not grounding out so I'm assuming they are good.
The fan and lights both work
When I switch on the elements the relay has a light that indicates it is cycling on and off but the elements do not heat up nor does the indicator lamp light.
Now the weird stuff...
I'm getting 115V at each side of the elements at all times, whether the switch is on or off.
I'm getting 115V at both sides of the indicator lamp at all times.
I'm getting 115V at both legs of the plug that leads to the element, this is post relay.
I don't know if the SSR has some leakage but the indicator lamp only needs 20mA to light so since I'm reading voltage I don't understand what's going on.
As I stated above, the oven worked perfectly for two years as is and I've found no reason as to why it isn't working now. Any ideas on what to trouble shoot next would be appreciated.
