Help with Snap-On "Ferret"

I picked up this Snap-On tools Ferret box this morning. The third photo below shows the contents as I received it. All tools inside are Snap-On but not all are marked “Ferret”. Photo number four shows six tools which were included but are marked “Ferret”

My question is…..

Based on the box and the tools in photo number four marked Ferret, what Ferret Tools am I missing to complete the box.
Does a Snap-On ferret tool have to be marked Ferret?
Some of the tools have an “F” in the marks but not the full word Ferret. Does that mean it is not a Ferret tool?
Are Ferret tools any more collectable than regular older Snap-On Tools?

Ferret was the name for 3/8 set which lives on as the F in the numbers...I think the word disappeared circa WWII...? 1/4 was M for Midget...this site will be more helpful: http://collectingsnapon.com/index.php

Should you need the space more than that set let me know...I really like the box and can fill in the gaps!

A Ferret is a small mustelid, essentially a semi-tame weasel, traditionally used in hunting for its ability to get into rabbit burrows and such...here it refers to the new size socket's ability to reach into tight places.

Awesome stuff. I have a set that I was able to piece together from my grandfather and uncle. One was a partial 1947 set and the other was a 1950. None of the tools have ferret on them, only the f part #.
I think Bruce is on target, it was probably changed during or right after WWII.
They also changed the colors scheme from gray to red and I would guess it was probably around the same time.

Snapmom, I have a Snap-On Speeder (K-4) but it won’t fit in this box. Does your speeder say Ferret on it? And will it fit? If so send me a price.
More to the point does it have to say ferret on the tool or can it just have an “F” in the marks like a ¾ socket marked F-240 or FA. The sockets aren’t new their date stamp is Z (1962)

I wish I could find a photo of a complete set with everything in the correct place.

That's my problem, I could have or nearly have a complete set and not know it.

Your ratchet has a 1947 date code. The sticker is 40s. Here is a link to the set.
The speeder I have is 1941. Model F-4-A. Does have the Ferret name stamped on it.
Will would like to trade you something for it.
