Help With Tool Identification?

Hey guys! Quick question, I got these with a 1946 South Bend Heavy 10 Lathe a while back and have no clue what they're for. All of the other equipment that came with the lathe was pretty straight forward and easily identifiable. Anyone able to tell me what these are for? THANKS!

Yep, drive dogs. They slide over a shaft being turned generally, and the bent part grabs the chuck or a plate.
