I just picked up this gear wrench 1/4" drive beam style tq wrench. It came in this huge as box. It's maybe half the length of the box. That's not gonna cut it. Anyone have any ideas of what I can buy to store it in that's gonna last a little better the card board?

Specs on it are
Length- 12"
Width- 4 1/2"
Height- 2"

You could get a piece of foam or foam insulation and carve it out. Even just a hole for the drive end to fit in and the rest of the tool just lay's on top.

**** that's a great idea. Can probably get a piece at Home Depot and just put it in the corner of my drawer probably

The 1/4 may be a bit more delicate in construction, but my 3/8 one is pretty sturdy and its one of the selling points. little awkward to sit in a drawer, I think a cradle is a great idea.

Why do you need a case for a beam style torque wrench? Don't store it in a drawer with your hammers. It's not like you can damage the thing.
