Help with vintage SnapOn KR-56

Hey all,

I picked up this sweet old SnapOn box after wanting one for years. Any help with its age or info? I will probably strip the stickers off, maybe refinish it someday. Maybe not. Its all part of the box’s life.

1956. The date code is right there, "56". This was one of the very first runs of the new logo style with the updated chrome door handle while the drawer handles remain from the earlier version of this box.

Its a nice one. I have 1955. The top compartment is deep enough for deep sockets unlike 9 drawer boxes

You could take the stickers off and see how well the original paint cleans up. Or just plan on a repaint.
