Any ideas how to prevent rain water from washing out the dirt under the eves? The leantoo is 12'8" high and with the 2-12 roof and the eve height, it is washing away the dirt. I tried 2 rows of 6"x8" pavers. Same result. Any ideas on gutters, with oak trees around, or bigger patio stones. I am tired of putting the dirt back.:(

Under the eves themselves or at the downspout? If the eves, add a drip edge and a gutter guard to prevent them from clogging or clean them more often.

Gold gutters?

Two 40' 5" gutter runs on my garage was estimated at $800 along with 4 down spouts.

Another vote for gutters. I had two 56' runs and two 20' runs, 4 lengths of 14' down spouts, installed for $717. And it was not a "stock" brown aluminum.

Gutters with smart screen or something similar..

How many feet of gutter did they quote for that price? That sounds nuts..

Gutters are fairly easy to put up yourself, especially on a low roof..

Install the gutters yourself. Not difficult to do but does require you to use a ladder. Some people are not comfortable working on ladders.

There are plenty of sources for instructions on gutter installation and the home improvement stores sell all the parts you need.
