Help with Wrench ID! Please!!

Got this today at an old barn ...$1. Any idea? Only marking I see is "heavy" on one side and other side has a 1 and a 10 below it on body of wrench. I'll clean it via electrolysis but wondering if any wrench expert could help me out first!

It's about 14 1/2" long....heavy as can be.

With all the rust and my eyesight is not what it used to be I can not make out any makers mark on it. Perhaps if you could show it again when it is all cleaned up I could get a better look at it.

I don't have a clue who made that one, but the two biggest makers of that type of wrench were Billings (Billings & Spencer) and Williams. There are other makers who did that style, but most of the wrenches like that are marked with one of those two names on the face of the head near where it says "heavy", or on the opposite side in the same place. Sometimes the stamp is really light, and can be hidden by the rust. Try a light touch with a fine wire wheel to see if a logo surfaces.

Thanks, I'm usually good at identifying these. I collect the Brooklyn era Williams wrenches etc.I definitely don't see a Williams logo or markings at all. I'm going to work on it via electrolysis soon enough but just giving it a long shot on whether anyone could or knew what it was

jackmac is right about Williams and B&S being large size wrenches; but the wrenches I find always had some kind of makers mark. Keep cleaning maybe something will come to the surface.

That's Peavy, not Heavy.
