I've used PPG Aquapon previously and it's worked well in my woodshop. Tonight in my auto shop, I used 100% solids, Miracote CQ. I can't find much on line about it and it still appears to be pretty wet after an hour, is that normal? It didn't get warm in the bucket either, but I'm not sure it should have.

Miracote CQ is a 100% solids epoxy. It's a Crossfield product, makers of Dexotex. We've used it for years.

I'm curious to know how you got the product and why you didn't get proper instructions? I'm guessing you didn't mix properly, if at all? Did you mix 2 parts "a" to 1 part "B"?

Give us a little more info so we can try to help you through this.

If you had any left in the bucket or paint tray, that should cure faster. But if their is no change after an hour you are probably in a whole lot of trouble.

Thanks for the words of encouragement... It did get hard over night. I mixed it with a jiffy mixer for a couple minutes. It did have a longer pot life than I expected, that's for sure. I was very relieved! I got it at a coating distributor.
