I thought I would share some info for those who use propane to heat their garage that use smaller bottles for propane. I had bought 2 new 18" hoses for my regulator that is a automatic switching regulator between the 2 40lb bottles I use. When the heater switched from the empty bottle to the full one today, my heater started up but I noticed that the heat was cool to little warmth and it was fine before it switched. The flame was blue but considerably smaller. I went out pulled the empty tank offline and switched the full bottle over to that position and problem solved. Turns out that the hose end that has some sort of back flow preventer built into it and must of stuck or malfunctioned big time. I thought at first I had a problem with my heater, but it was fine right up until it switched. So, if anyone out there is using this type of setup and has sudden problem with little to no heat out the furnace but it was working before, try changing the hose especially if they are new as mine were. The company I bought them from were great and are sending me a replacement tomorrow and apologized for the inconvienance. It's nice to do business with real service oriented people.
