Happy Easter Everyone!!

House garage is densified for right now. Ill probably do some Racedeck later on. Finally cut the grass for the first time last week. Hope to get my irrigation turned on this week and make sure all of the heads are in working order and start topsoiling 1,200 feet of driveway and a few areas in the yard that have settled. Grade everything out and seed it. I have a lot of work ahead!

Glad to hear everything is coming together for you. House and garage have turned out great, you should be proud and I hope you can sit back and relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Mike.

Good to see the house become a home and as others have said, waiting to see the projects in the shop. Beautiful build!

Thanks guys. I swapped some services and let my garage door guy use one of my scissor lifts for the week. He installed a Liftmaster 8500 today as compensation for the 8x8 door on the side of the shop. :) Now i just need to clean up their mess and tidy up the wires!

Well after checking back into my thread after 3 months it looks as if photobucket now officially *****. $400 a year to host 3rd party images. Yea they can **** my ****. What has everyone switched to. Looks like i have a ton of work to rebuild all of the images in this thread. FML.

I am livid about the photobucket fiasco. I have thousands of pictures on other forums, some of which are stuff that can’t be found anywhere else.

I hope this bankrupts them long term. $399 is insane for personal accounts.

Maybe Photobucket believes even bad publicity is a good thing. I expect everyone who sees those moronic plugs "PLEASE UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT TO ENABLE 3RD PARTY HOSTING" is going to think twice about using their service. Even if they changed their pricing to $0.99 a year, I won't go back. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

You can also go with a web hosting company like host gator or aws (amazon web services). Not free, but a lot cheaper.

How is the densifier holding up? Would you do it again over a traditional sealer?
Its been fine so far. It really helps keep the chalkiness from the concrete at a minimum. I haven't really used the shop much. Its been a busy summer working on other projects around the house when I'm not working. I hope to get my lift, air compressor, cabinets, and work benches setup this winter. I have some densifier left over that I'm probably going to use on my porch floors on the house.

Wish the links never broke on this build.

Did you ever do any lighting on the soffits of the house or garage for accent?

yea i have soffit lights on the house and lights under the porch on the shop. There is also a big led flood light on the front of the shop. The house also has led spot flood lights on every corner. There was pictures at some point. I just don't have the time to rebuild this entire thread. It would take me dayssss

I don't have an easy fix for the actual broken links but anyone who is willing to install a workaround can see the pictures again.

Firefox: install this add-on:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-embedded-fix/

Chrome: install this add-on:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...ed-fix/naolkcpnnlofnnghnmfegnfnflicjjgj?hl=en

Microsoft Edge: I have no clue.

i use safari on IOS. I guess I'm out of luck.

You can install Chrome on iOS or MacOS. I'm running Chrome on my MacBook Pro. I also have VM Ware so I have a Win7 Pro that runs on it. Chrome installed on that side too, plus Chrome on my work provided Samsung GS7. All 3 are synced so my bookmarks are all synced no matter which Chrome browser they are saved in.

And I just went through your thread to see all the pics. :rocker: Fantastic! Can't wait to see how the shop progresses. The house is amazing, awesome slice of heaven you have out there in Delaware.

Finally started using google pictures. For those of you who haven't seen the house in a while. Mind you i had just killed my whole yard and replanted the grass 3 weeks ago. Give it another month and it will be lush. Im debating on rebuilding the pictures in this thread or just starting a new one... ugh.

EDIT: apparently i can't figure out how to post the picture directly into this thread.

I hear ya, I've stopped updating my thread until I find a new host site. Gonna try flikr as it seems the easiest to link to threads like this.

This whole Photobucket thing has turned a lot of people off from updating threads I've noticed. I hope the company fails and it's leaders burn in hell.

I have found dropbox very easy to use. I just resize my pics to 600 or 800 pixels wide in my dropbox folder then link them. resizing in the dropbox folder greatly reduces their size so they take up less space.

Some of the other forums have copied Photobucket pics over to their site and fixed all the links automatically.. really wish garage journal would do the same.

This is an awesome thread- can I ask what was used as a vapor barrier for the slab in the garage/barn? It looks like a regular 6-10 mil plastic liner. Im currently getting ready to pour mine and am torn with what to use. I have ready 6mil isnt enough anymore and I have friends that used something like this; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006QXX78M/?tag=atomicindus08-20
to provide some insulation and vapor barrier to keep the slab from frosting and to keep the heat under control.
