Well, as always, AA is the place to go to read up on Herbrand history.

Here is an example of 1970 Herbrand product:

Although Herbrand enjoyed a long and storied history, this set dates from after the Triangle acquisition when Herbrand was "positioned" as the economy line in the Triangle stable with Bonney at top and Utica the mid-point.

The only piece in the set pictured that was made in the USA is the spinner handle. The rest of the set is known to be of poor quality and the sockets broke quite easily.

In spite of the claims in the ad above, if you want to pick up a "great" tool, it won't be that Herbrand set...

LoL, Thank you for the info. Why I was asking is that yesterday I found a Herbrand wood grain case at a sale, and I would like to give it to some one who has a collection of the 3/8 There is no tools but the case still has the warranty card. So if some one want to pay shipping on this case, It is theirs. I would like them to show me a pic of their collection and please don't put it on fleebay... Richie
