I got a lead on Herbrand bottom box: 3 draws similar to the one in this thread
https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=196414
or this one
https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142226&page=2
It appears orange with a lot of paint missing (still trying to get some pictures as original one was poor)

How is this one?
Can you post more pictures?
How do you like this box?
If you do not mind - how much did you pay for it? (I am thinking about offering $40 as it will eventually need a respray). I just hope it has no major dents...

I am slowly looking for Snap On KR-352 in good condition for either my KR-56 from 1955 or KRA-58B from 1963. Seems like this Herbrand could be a bottom box at least temporary (well, then I will also be on lookout for a Herbrand top :)

Here's a photo of a pair that owned for a little while. I paid $200. I have a 1957 Snap On Kr 302 which is about the same size IIRC.

Looks great, FJ. After seeing yours, I really want to get the one I am trying to buy! Will need to repaint it t, most likely. Love the color you have - will consider it. Looks very unique...Still trying to get hold of the guy...

...yep, drawer it is... one day I will get used to it...

The one I am trying to get is only the third one I found "in the wild" in more than a year. The first one I posted a while ago and decided to pass on it as it was missing a front cover (good luck finding those) and was too far away. The second one was posted by someone on GJ a while ago in the other state. This is the third one - I got a bad picture and am trying to get in touch with the owner for 2 days (I was given just an e-mail...) Drives me crazy - the price is not bad and I want to pick it up before somebody else does...

They are cool boxes. I like the herbrand tops, they have a nice drawer arrangement

Looking great, Nailheadmatt! This is a very unusual color among all boxes - makes it very unique
Do the drawers have partitions?

Yeah that box set up only came in either smooth tangerine or this crinkle blue from what I read in the catalog. There's no dividers in any of the drawers.

For some reason Herbrand boxes either were manufactured in lower quantity or not well preserved.
I tried to get one in 2018 and did not see one since... 2018 was a bummer: seller living in a bad neighborhood, last house on dead end street and gave me only one opportunity to pick it up late night (which did not give me a chance to get a back up person...). Refused to meet in a public spot as well...

Yeah it's definitely not a snap on. Pretty light duty. I think they were farmed out to huot. Definitely weren't actually made by herbrand.

That sounds like a very shady scenario. If someone refuses to meet in public that's a big red flag.
