You know despite my truck being a piece of ****, it certainly isnt outstanding I like it in its own right. Its a 91 and I wouldnt mind limping it until something better comes along, should really find another one and reman it to fill in until the new hybreds become a proven commodity. I have a complete heavy service truck for the occasions when nothing elde will do but after bouncing in pickups for 30 yrs I have it down to a science. I have it figured that I can do 98% of the work with what I have with me at the time or without grabbing additional tooling beyond special parts needed for a project. Now with hi performance battery tools its even smoother. I used to try and carry everything but I got it down where its managable and if I replace my stock as needed I can get thru things in a crisis without adding to road time or the need for a heavier truck. I see guys tool trucks think they gotta have everything, cant find nuthin. I am better off with less, I dont need to carry a 3 ton come-alng when a cheap wire one will do, I can make do with at hand easier than tote a lot of equipment around like an anchor. I do have some goodies that make it user friendly and it might get a couple fenders and a shot of paint yet before she retires. I have a heavy inverter on it which I do use on occasion and I create custom holders and a lot of things have dual uses. Keep it full of gas can go anywhere in any kind of weather at any time and try to do anything,,, ha if I have to.
