Here’s a first for me. Cracked Snap On impact socket

As the title states this is the first Snap on impact socket I have ever cracked. 1” 5/16. Trying to take a seized lug off a Chevy c7500.

Although snappy stuff will usually take much more use before failing, they still fail and wear out. i've cracked more than a few snap on sockets both impact and chrome over the years. It happens regardless of whose name is stamped on the tools

True. Also on a related note the Milwaukee 1/2 m18 is a beast

I have the 1100 or 1200 ft lbs Milwaukee and I'm happy with it. I used it with a 3/4 adapter to remove the steer tires off my semi. Took them right off. Last time I changed the drive tires, my air impact wouldn't touch them and had to break out my big breaker bar and cheater pipe. The Milwaukee saved me the trouble of buying a 3/4 impact.

It happens. I've seen quite a few worn out impact sockets crack.

I wish you could try my 1-5/16'' Proto 3/4'' drive. That thing is the epitome of beefiness. I think it would survive a direct nuclear strike.
