Here's a weird one...does anyone make a powered open end wrench?

A friend of mine has to assemble a zillion gizmos that have (he says) 8mm nuts that have to be run on...that can only be accessed by a wrench on the side.

I did find a couple of ratcheting open end wrenches (Alden - although not in 8mm; SK - looks hard to find in real life) but was curious about something that ran on air or 'lectric. I already have run into those through hole ratchet sets (like the Matco Special Forces sockets) but I guess that those won't work in this application.

I'm trying to picture exactly how a powered open end wrench would have to work...

If it can use a box end wrench, an air ratchet, with an offset chain drive extension like Snap on used to sell, but with an 8mm box end on the open side (instead of a male square drive adaptor) would do it.

How about a Dremal with a couple of fat rubber washers? Start the nut and touch the spinning washers to the nut to run it up. Then finish with an open end wrench.

At the plant we use Stanley Industrial stuff to run down tube nuts....its basically an open end powered wrench.

It runs about $25k but hey.....go big or go home.
