Does anyone here have a Craftsman toolbox key #8207? A guy on another forum I frequent needs one. His sister lost the key to the toolbox. He tried Sears and they can't help him.

Thanks,

Steve

Simply truck on down to the local locksmith, that is what they do for a living!

Is it really old? I ordered extra slides for my Craftsman Pro box the other day, and got spare keys for all 3 of my Craftsman boxes, just with the number.

Ditto on calling. I've gotten keys from Husky, Waterloo and Craftsman.
2-3 bucks
Except for Husky. No charge, not even shipping.

No, I don't loose keys a lot. I have a LOT of boxes.

He's hoping to do it for cheap (ie. the cost of a key and mailing). He tried Sears and they don't have the keys anymore.

I would try contacting Waterloo industries since they probably made the box for sears.

Steve, I work for the local sears store and will take a look to see if we have an x-tra (we have boxes of them) with that number, it looks familiar. I don't work again untill Fri and will let you know Fri eve.

Steve, I looked at all out x-tra keys and I'm sorry to say but we did not have any with that # on them. Might have to drill out the lock and buy a new one.

Again, sorry I couldn't help.

No, but I do have a #8027. If nobody on your end is dyslexic, try this. Get a key that goes in the lock. While keeping tension on the key in the direction needed to unlock it, push and pull the key in and out over and over. This sometimes works to pick the lock.

I sometimes have luck finding lost items, such as keys, by purchasing a new replacement item, such as locksets.
