Heres my first garage nothing too special

Ok so alot of my shop plans have been put on hold due to being ran over by a 18k forklift. I am finally healed but was notified on Monday that due to economic slow down my company had to lay me off the same day i was released for full duty. I have been putting off dumping money into my 2 car because we are planing a 50x100 but thats at least a year away so i figured id go ahead and make the best of what i had. Its 18ft wide and 28ft deep on the left and 20ft deep on the right. I put in a 220 compressor outlet and a 220 welder outlet also. I also put in a 15amp outlet circuit and a 15amp lighting circuit. We installed r30 insulation and osb. I hung 15 shop lights also. Its not done but its on the way. Pics are on the way

Nice space. I have one car closet that I could barely pull a car in. And you got a T/A in there sideways.

Thanks. I put it sideways to make sure none of the glue from the insulating the door driped on it when i had to open the door.

Im going to leave the osb alone. I like the way it looks personally i plan to just paint the ceiling with some builders grade white when i get around to it. I really like the compressor i paid $340 for it new and i couldnt beat it

Sorry to here about the fork lift. Any reason why you ran the 15 amp circuit instead of the 20?

I was going to be over the panel rating already and i already have four 20amp outlets. I wish i would have ran all 20 amp circuits tho.

The harbor freight air regulator crapped out already. The needle shot out like a rocket.

It looks like everything is going good with your first garage but to let you know. I had all plug in lights and I took them apart and hard wired them in. If you want to do that just to let you know its pretty easy.

I went the other way. The old ones were hard wired in and it was a pain to replace them. So now all the outlets are on a switch so they all come on together.

Garage does not have to be special - it's what you do in there that counts!

You compressor may not run for long being on it's side like that
