Which Hex to 3/8 socket adapter is stronger? I picked up a Makita Impact Gold wobble head part #B-35075 just because of the wobble I will probably just use this in tight locations. I don't expect this to hold up as well as a straight on adapter. So what adapter holds up the best?

I've had good luck with Milwaukee impact rated adapters so far. I have yet to break any of their Shockwave bits or adapters. I've used their 3/8" to hex adapter on my MG325 with a T30 Shockwave bit and haven't broken the bit or the adapter.

Because of the point of contact, a wobble isn't going to be as strong as a straight on square drive. But, they aren't meant to be used for the same things. I'm sure that wobble head will hold up just fine for normal use. I wouldn't be terrorizing it if I could help it though.

I've broken three Milwaukee adapters on my M18 Fuel. Bought a Dewalt last time, we'll see how it holds up.

I agree. I got it just for that time a straight on adapter won't work. I knew if I didn't get it I would be cussing myself out one day when I needed it.

I have used Milwaukee and Dewalt adapters with detents. Also a Snap-On pin lock in 3/8. I have not had any failures yet. They have experiences some use and some abuse also. In brushless Makita 18v impacts with hex output.
