Hex bit/driver tool storage solutions?

I have seen this before, but can't find it with a search. I have an assortment of tools for the 1/4" hex bits. Stuff like quick release drill bits, impact driver tools (may be naming it incorrectly, but have a magnet inside, come in sets of say 8mm-15mm or so), of course tons of screwdriver bits, etc.

I can't find a good storage solution for them, particularly the socket style ones for nuts. The cases in which they came lay flat, I'd rather stand up them for more space. Anyone have anything they find that works?

I made something similar.I used an old piece of corian countertop and drilled my holes to hold the bits.It was a lot of drilling to do but in the end it didn't cost me anything but time.I'll try and get a picture put up of it.

I ended up having so many varied sets and sizes of bits that I went with this type of storage system, put on my main workbench, and it's very expandable (each drawer can fit a ton of bits), and also adaptable:

Those were all for the bits that chuck up to drills / drivers. For the really short ones that go into adapters, just used a simple Plano box for those.

Not as cool as a rack where all the bits are standing out and proud like a lot of the ones you see that you can buy or make, but in the end I didn't find it practical to make something where you have 200 bits standing straight up ready to grab. This keeps it easily available, neat & adaptable, and ready to access in seconds.

I use the magnetic torin ones posted above. But then again I don't have an incredibly high amount of bits, just my metric/sae but setters, typical screwdriver bits and torx bits. If you have a ton of bits definitely best to make your own
