I used to use these back in the early 90's with my 9.6v Makita drill. Most guys would carry spare bits in their pocket - too much of a hassle. And the choices of bit holders weren't like they are today - this adhesive foam holder worked great. They had been discontinued some years ago, but the manufacturer said perhaps some distributor warehouses might still have some NOS. I started searching.
Last week I found some! Real stiff foam, holds 4 bits, and the adhesive strip is strong. Over several years of use it never came off the handle, and I never once lost a hex bit out of it. It got a little worn and beat up along the outer edge, but never failed. On the Makita's, that long handle comes in handy, as you can attach the holder near the end and it doesn't interfere at all with your grip. Me be stoked!
