Hex die score: Any good?

Totally by accident, I found this set of 3 hex dies at a local thrift store. I could read US and the sizes (1/2-13, 5/8-11, 3/4-10), so I figured they were worth the $5 asking price.

After cleaning, I found this brand name:

I'm not familiar with it. Is it a good brand?

That is a good score.The hex dies have a huge advantange over the round,you can use a wrench or socket on them.

Other than the fact those hex dies are simply carbon steel where the round vintage are typically high speed and if they're split, are pitch diameter adjustable

Never seen a HS hex die or hex that was adjustable. They're intended for chasing threads and lend themselves well to an automotive service environment.
