Hi Donald, Welcone to the forum!
Do you mean 1/4" hex drive, or all hex drive sockets?
Many older ones, like the Bethlehem Spark Plug Co. and Brotool used a hex drive system.
If you look up those 2 in the 'sticky' at the top of the forum page you will see examples. I have a collection of Britool .448 hex drive.

Powrkraft hand tools started in late 50s. The hex stuff was their economy line.

Hi Donald!

I have a set of Indestro/Duro hex drive sockets that I use with a Craftsman hex drive female ratchet for tight areas. The magnet is strong on the ratchet, so I don't tend to lose sockets. Over time I've accumulated various hex to square and vice versa adapters so I can swap between tool styles as the need arises. Those cheapo sockets have saved my **** a time or two.

And zero chance of them sprouting legs and walking away!

I found this set New Britain set laying by the side of the road a few years ago, missing the 1/2" socket.
