Looking to build a shop sometime late this year (weather permitting) or when it warms up next year, primary focus will be automotive fabrication but there will be a tractor trailer inside when maintenance is needed.
looking for a 40x60 and aside from the concrete i will be doing most of the labor myself/with friends. Haven't gotten a chance to talk to a code officer yet as im a full time student right now and i work after school, time is scarce for me.
i live in central PA and just wanted to find out the general building requirements, I'm thinking 24" on center 2x6 walls, prefabbed trusses of course. the foundation will definately be concrete blocks.
I've done a lot of interior construction and remodelling but never an entire building, i'm a welder/fabricator by trade so mechanical aptitude is not an issue.
