Been around here a while, and thought I'd finally introduce myself.
I'm a lifelong tool lover, raised on a farm, and my love of tools and machines and such led me to study Mechanical Engineering (UC Berkeley undergrad, UC Davis graduate) and I now work in manufacturing development for a big company (who I don't name online, as I do a lot of development stuff).
I love all things well made and mechanical (guns, tools, knives, cars, motorcycles, etc...). GJ is one of the best places I've found online, with people even more crazy over tools than I am.
My 1 car garage is currently a mess, and with my young family (2 kids and one on the way) I find I have little time or money for my garage tinkering. My online fascinations drift randomly from tools to guns to baseball to BBQ, so my current GJ fascination will probably fade soon, but I think this place will be a part of my online experience for a long time to come.
