Wanted to say hello, long time reader of the forum, lots of good looking spaces and tool discussion on here. My garage and tools are in general a hobby knife making area(just starting) and I’m about to start restoring(well... repairing) my gramps old 8n back there. Should be fun. While lurking works ok for info, it isn’t as efficient as asking questions and seeing some good stuff pass through the classifieds has convinced me to come fully aboard.

It’s a 1951 that worked for a living. For sure not the most economical option considering what they bring price wise currently but a lot of good memories on the little guy with him so it’s worth it to me to get it running again. I’ll be happy with it being a 10 footer, look good enough to enjoy and putter around mostly

Nice, seems like there are a few people around NC on here.

Yeah it looks pretty darn simple, I’m hoping the rear tires are one of the larger expenses. Carb seems clear and trans shift into all gears.
