Hey HAMBers - what this rear worth?

I've got an opportunity to pickup for cheap and 70-something XKE that was burned in a garage fire. The topside is burned but it never reached the tires and most of the engine dept has melted accessories, etc.
Isn't the rearend on these useful for rodders? Is it worth me cutting it out and putting on E-Bay?

I would definately try and get it. I really dunno what they sell for but I am sure if you could get it cheap you could make some money on it.
