Thanks guys. I'm only changing things around because I bought a sports car and plan on getting a lift. We also now have 2 kids and the cabinets weren't working.

I got some neat plans for this so bare with me.

Hmmm....I'm skeptical you will be able to pull off something better then your previous creation, it was perfect! But i guess if you managed to do it once......

Lucky you! I can't afford to buy a sports car because I have FOUR kids! ;) I did however, rip out all the old cabinets and rearrange the garage a bit a couple weeks ago. Recovered just over 100 sq ft and was actually able to put ALL my tools away (first time in 6 years).

You're on! Can't wait to see TONE 2.0.

Just curious, I keep hearing that a workbench should only be as large as the amount of stuff you want to store on it! Did your worktop acreage collect a lot of stuff? :dunno:

You do know that we must now see proof of the sports car?

Awesome! A lot of the pictures after page three seem to be missing from Photobucket. :( Was looking forward to seeing what you had done for Version 1.0. Still looking forward to Version 2.0.

Okay, version 1.0 got rave reviews; smart design, clean components, great execution. So, my question to you is - HOW THE HECK ARE YOU GOING TO TOP THAT IN VERSION 2.0???

I mean the sports car is a very nice addition, but jeezus, all that great work is for naught now? I'm thinking that if we look up the definition of OCD, we are going to see your picture as the poster child for the group. lol

For some reason my garage overhead doors go all the way to the ceiling now.

nice work. Have a question for you.
what was done to the cross support beam? is it just stained or dry-walled around?

The beam is wrapped in drywall. I simply painted it red. :)
