Space is looking really good. Can't wait to see it lit up with all those lights.

Well, all the door, and drawers are completed and installed on the cabinets throughout the garage.
All in all it was 4-5 coats of black stain on the frames.
The doors have I believe 3 coats of red stain and then the glaze. I topped it off with 4 coats of poly.
You could wash these things with a hose.
I tried over and over again. This camera isnt the greatest, but you can kinda see the glaze-aging technique. Im really happy with the results.
I plan on putting all door-drawer pulls on tomorrow.

What are the cubic feet of the freezer and fridge? And where did you get them?
I buy most of my electronics and appliances from ABT (a Chicagoland store).
Anyway, I think the fridge and freezer are just under 20 cubic.

Started finally hanging those lights up. Pretty straight forward.
Still have 2 more to go.
Wondering, once you get all your lights hung - can you post before/after pics??
Sure, will do. That was actually the last part of this thread. And although this garage will constantly change, its basically completed.
I will post a before and after shot.
Im buying a new camera so that will be a fun way to test it out.

Well, althought this garage will never be done, and I might add more photos, it is In my mind a completed project. I have finished everything I wanted.
All in all Im happy with it, and its a great functioning garage. It suits my purpose for car detailing and basic maintenance. It is also used for storage of tools and yard equipment.
Its also a fun place to put down a few beers with good friends.

If you get a chance, go outside and snap a pic of the before and after. Maybe in the evening when it starts to get dark. Here is a before I was looking at. It's hard to believe what it looked like and what it is like now. Most would not believe it and would not appreciate the effort that goes into something like that. I find that the majority of people, when you try to explain to them what it used to look like, what it looks like now, and what it took, just take it in stride. I'm talking about the ones that are not on this site. We GJ'ers KNOW what kind of work it is

TONE, Very nice shop. I have a question. What supplier did you use for the drawer and cabinet hardware/ haldles, ect? I like the look of the handles. I am doing something silimar, except I do my own body an dpaint work and am using automotive paint after applying epoxy primer to the wood cabinets and then using a single stage PPD paint that was left over from a car project. I am looking for some nice drawer and door pulls. I want something that at least 4 inches as some of my cabinets are 4x4 feet doors.

TONE, what a great job! Very nicely done.
Actually my wife picked them up for me. She knew what I wanted (we have similiar in the kitchen) and when she was shopping one day she saw them.
I think she got them at a local store called "the great indoors"
However, I think Ikea sells them or at least something very much like them.

Tone, Awesome transformation. The colors, finish and details are top notch. I keep coming back and browsing for more ideas to 'borrow'. I wish I could have found standard cabinets to use like you did. I was inspired by the finishing and painting the doors that I shopped for a while to determine that 42" tall wall cabinets are special order and cost more than I want to spend. I'm having to build some to get what I want. I will also be using slatwall for a some areas. Your shop really looks comfortable and fun.

These steps where just wood, so I used some wood screws with those plastic decorative caps that fold-hinge over the head. I also used liquid nails. Probably would have been fine just like that, but figured "better to be safe than sorry"
My last place had a concrete step. I used liquid nails that was for concrete and I used a few tapcons here and there.
