Hey I'm a new guy

I'd just like to introduce myself, my names John. Every time I need answers about this kind of subject matter, the garage journal never fails!
A little about myself, I was in the army for three years as a combat engineer or "Sapper" did one year long tour through southwest Afghanistan conducting route clearance missions (pretty much trying to find IEDs.) but now that all that fun's over I have recently enrolled at the universal technical institute in Norwood, MA studying diesel and industrial technology, soon to move to Arizona to continue my education with the cummins power generation program. Really enjoying it

. Snapon offers a pretty good discount (about half off retail) for students there so I've been building my collection. Also, I recently bought an acre of land near Plymouth beach on which I plan to build my shop, so il keep the progress posted. In the mean time, my box finally arrived in the mail today giving my tools a new home. Check it out! Thanks for having me guys.

Cool projects, what is up with the dial indicator on the deck of the engine? Looks like a sleeve?

Thanks. That's a protrusion gauge to measure the sleeve's height.
