I don't have any, but have been looking at them for leaving at places I don't want to take my DeW stuff. The biggest complaint I've seen is charging the batteries. The charger HF provides just pumps juice with a risk of overcharging if left for more than a few hours. I did a little searching and found:
http://www.amazon.com/Jinding-Electric-Charger-Cordless-Powerpack/dp/B0009XY6IU

that works with this battery
http://www.amazon.com/Corporation-Battery-565067-Cordless-Powerpack/dp/B0009XU3IW/ref=pd_cp_hi_1

which appears identical to the HF 18 V batteries. Has anybody tried this charger?

What about just using one of those timers that you plug into a household outlet that lets you control turning on and off appliances automatically?

I just got the 1/4 inch impact driver which does not come with a battery or charger, they did have a battery but no charger. So I got the tool and the battery which looked a lot like my firestorm B&D batteries and thought this might work. It didn't the polarity was backwards and the HF tool and battery had a slight triangle shape of the rails. What I did was take a file and file the slots on the tool so that it was parallel like the BD, then I took the tool apart and changed the black and red wires so they matched the BD battery. then my quick charger for bd worked just fine and the HF battery I took apart and put the guts into a bad BD battery. Now every thing works just fine and I don't worry about over charging and I have 4 good batteries. The BD outlet in San Marcos tx has the quick chargers for BD for $14.00 if you don't have one.
